Youtube and traveling again! Mar. 7th, 2007 @ 08:38 am
Well, I have been not posting for a long time....I actually hid myself away from the online communites really, my webcomic, my devart, my livejournal and anything else I missed I even gave up con Hopping after my move to Michigan last summer...I just have been not an artist for like half a year...I just didn't have the desire to draw for so long... I just focused mainly on figuring out how I am going to get out of this country and move to Japan...well i got the answer it's gonna just take me some hard work and finishing up my degree...but other than that I haven't been completely away from all of the internet hustle and bustle. I've been Youtubing it up a little bit...trying to practice my very beginner japanese...haha, you can find my page here: http://youtube.com/profile?user=takutokun

I just love being able to post vids and I'm thinking about putting more speaking ones up as I go maybe even a Japanese learning blog so that I can keep myself motived to study each day...cuz it's hard learning on my own. I'm getting better at listening though, picking up japanese scentences as they happen instead of translating back to english...that feels good I guess...hehe but anyway here is my first speaking vid and my jikoshoukai (self introduction):

Other than that, I'm about to do my last major money purchase before i try to settle down and go back to school, I'm going to Japan again in 3 weeks! WoooooHoooo! I'm excited...hehe, I really can't wait to go, and I finally got to use some japanese on a stranger...I was scared! Well I had to call the travel agency and it was a japanese one of course cuz they get the cheap tickets...and I when the lady answered i didn't even hear what she said...it was most likely the name of the company de gozaimasu but yeah I was just ready with my: "sumimasen, eigo ga ii desu ka?" haha. she said "Hai, how may I help you", and i felt relieved... today I actually buy the ticket so of course I will be ready once again with my "..ii desu ka?" line haha. can't wait!

Commission/ Portrait project Aug. 12th, 2006 @ 01:55 pm
well, I'm trying to save some money fo another trip so I am making some portrait cheap portrait commissions to fund it. Here is the link for more info!:

Website

the page isn't much to look at right now but 3 commissions have been confirmed and are in the process of being worked on. Just email me on the page to lock in the first week of commissions! They will be good for icons, banners and anything else you can think of! If you know anyone who may be interested in something like this, feel free to pass on the page!

and all other commissions I am working on are still going, these portrait commissions shouldn't interupt any commissions I was working on previously.

I can't believe it!!! it helps that I got a call earlier in the morning about the fact that I lost the job I interviewed earlier.....then to get good news like this...is unbelieveable for me...it's just never happened! Now I just need to get into my school of choice and I will be set!

I start working in the electronic department of AAFES (the shop on armybases) in about a couple of weeks!!! Howza!!!

....ooooooo!!!!! Mar. 19th, 2006 @ 07:59 am
So if anyone was wondering where I was online this week...well, I was cut off from my provider!!! I guess that is what happens when you don't pay them for over 2 and a half months....urrrggggh! but I was able to go to a friends house and pay them last night!!! so i am happy to say that I am internetless no more!!! Though I couldn't have enjoyed internet at all last week though, because I was working and sleeping like a mad man, which was also the case the last two weeks and I still didn't make enough money to pay off all my bills!!!! and I was soooo hoping this would be the check to end all debit!!! (DARN YOU TAXES!!! hehe!!!) so I'm on a rampage to finish up as many commissions as possible so I can just get the money from those! atleast Animepunch is a couple of weeks away and I will be able to make some quick side change....though I won't have any new artwork by then I think...and almost eveyone in the anime fandom around the central ohio area has my old artwork, so I don't know how well I will sell...but oh well....

that was a little ranty...but I just wanted to tell everyone that I am not dead...I am alive and as soon as I get everything out of the way...I should have new artwork and the such up sooner or later!

Japanese is still kicking my boooty! which reminds me! I have had this plan recently but maybe a month or so ago I confimed it to myself that after I move in with my father in May that I am going to save up as much money in a year to study Japanese in Japan!!! So a year from now I will hopefully be starting in a tokyo language school trying my hardest to become fluent! Japanese, Music and Art are my three major passions right now and I am trying to constantly improve them, so why not go and learn japanese in the land that has fluent speakers of the language I think it will help me reinforce my knowledge because right now I have no real reason to remember japanese words and things like that...also i am going to try my hardest to pass the JLPT 4 Kyuu test this December! I hope I actually go through with it and go though!

anyway enough about that...I'll try to keep this journal active but you know how that is!

So yesterday was interesting...a complete stranger came to my door yesterday and asked if he could come in to warm up a bit...he proceeds to talk to me and then pledes and asks if he can stay the night so he doesn't have to sleep in the cold... I try to tell him that i don't think it is a good idea but he keeps pleading and i give up and he falls asleep on my floor....scary!!!!! I wish I didn't do that at all...he wasn't creepy or anything but still he was a homeless person creeply coming to someones house at night and then trying to build up his story so he could sleep in MY house... I really felt dumb letting him stay....but oh well I didn't die and I still have all of my belongings!!!

Other than that, all of my cards...everything from my wallet came in the mail today! but...there wasn't a wallet...or the $4 that I had left in there! but atleast I got everything back! I don't need a new ID and I can ride the bus for free again!!!! it's beautiful!

so my art day from last week was shattered when I got a instant message from the Warhammer crew! I worked on that thing all last week! I was arted out! they were lengthing and shortening the deadline for that thing and after awhile they just completely cut it off so someone else finished my piece and I only get payed for my linework and half of the coloring when I worked maybe over 8 hours on that thing....it sucks but atleast it is something!

other than that I finished that girl with her legs spread open!

Under the cut! )
» Art Day!
ok, ok...it's been awhile since I had one of these so as of right now I am working on quite a few things that i need to get finished...I'm aiming for:

finishing up a sketch for matsuricon's t-shirts (attendie, the staff sketch is done!)
Badge sketch designs
Color study of a card for Warhammer...(hopefully I finish this by tomorrow evening because that is an extra $100)
an IICY? page

I'm setting my sights low because as of right now I keep weasling myself out of doing artwork! I need to kick myself into gear! So I can reward myself with some Japanese studing! It might sound like work but for me it is really fun and I haven't gotten around to doing some for awhile!
» O_O
I lost my wallet!!!! ...I am in a bad situation with money so as of right now...I don't have any.......can't go to work to make more money...because I don't have money to ride the bus.....and I have to wait for cota's lost and found to open so I can see if they found it...but I highly doubt whoever found it stepped up and gave it to the driver...but they will just find 4 dollars...maxed out credit cards, and a debit card with only 19 dollars on it....buuuuut...they will also have my ID for both my school and my Ohio ID...my Social Security Card...my passport number.....*cries*....I just hope COTA found it and I didn't lose it OUTSIDE! I mean I can't hear if stuff falls out of my bag because I wear headphones....WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!!!! *curls into bed and weeps...*
» Finally my trip!
So I think I should maybe stop being lazy and just talk about my trip! ok let's take it by each bullet point that I pointed out in my earlier post and then I will add anything else that I seem to remember.

Expensive: Ok, everyone knows this, but it really doesn't occur to you how expensive things are in Japan until you have to live there...I brought with me about $450 for two weeks, I mean here in America I can get by a week with $20 but in Japan I spent $200 in 4 days! Wow was that a swift kick in the budget! It might have been going to the grocery each night to get a snack, riding the train everyday and eating out for lunch and dinner each day...but if I didn't do those things I wouldn't have had much fun!

Earthquake: Ok the first day I was there I experienced my first earthquake, though it was very minor and I didn't even notice it really(it felt like someone stomping up the stairs and shaking the house a little.),Atleast I can say that I experienced an earthquake!

Suicide: Well you hear about Japan's high suicide rate and listening to my friends work schedule has got me wondering how he does it without killing himself....life in Japan sounds soooo tiring! but anyway, while we were on the train our train stops and the conducter announces over the intercom about someone throwing themselves infront of the train before ours...so of course we would be delayed for a little while....sheesh....

Production IG: This is less exciting than it sounds but we went and found the infamous Production IG studio. It's freaking small!! Just a white building with the name of the company in front of it! I felt so strange standing in front of it, like some security would come and tell us to go away! Hehe, i'm a scardy cat.

Tons of Shops: OMG! Why didn't I have alot of money!?! shops are everywhere with tons of cool and interesting stuff! If you love shopping Tokyo is for you! The clothes are amazing, albet very expensive, some shirts were in the $80 range, buuuut...I was there for the winter sales with items ranging from %30 to %70 off....just my luck that I was trying not to spend all my money so I could atleast get out of the country...hehe. But everywhere you go there is a shop of some kind and if you are huge into Anime or Manga, book stores are everywhere and so are anime shops....

Comiket: The Nerdiest Nerds come to this event, I have never seen so many in my life, hehe, I mean I am a nerd but Japanese bring it to another level! They are freaking serious about it! Pushing and shoving for their collections, and just our luck our first stop was the hentai section, where it was the most crowded...we didn't stay here very long because well, it was hard to see anything....way tooo many people!!!

Karaoke: Wow a very fun time was had, the atmosphere of a Japanese karaoke room is so different from the karaoke bars I have been to....it was a big highlight of my trip!

Grocery Stores: as I said before we went to one everyday, they are so small, in fact every shop in Japan is small in some way, they pack in tons of products into small isle ways, especially if you go to character good shops (anime/manga stores) Wow, it's hard to fit more than one person down some of those isles...very tight fit...I decided to just leave my bag that i always carry around at home so that I wouldn't snag it on something and drag a whole shelf down...hehe.

Walking till you can't walk anymore: that's self explanatory, walking, biking, trains are the main form of transportation in Japan, there are bike parking lots there! OMG is that the neatest thing to see, just tons and tons of bikes lined up one after another! Oh and also escalators are everywhere, even outside (don't think I have seen an escalator outside before but I will explain about escalators in a later segment....hehe) Also they have parking garages that are just a tall storage compartment were the machine picks your car up and puts it inside of a storing bay...it's rather strange, but an interesting technology.

Stares: well coming from a country that is a huge melting pot, it's hard to think about people staring at you because you are the norm in america....well in Japan, you aren't...especially me as a black man...hehe...I didn't know that African American culture was a big thing in japan, and there are alot of "ghetto" Japanese ( as I like to call them), so of course alot of the stares were from this group of people..(OMG a real black guy!...hehe) I didn't feel weirded out, but actually special....I don't know how others would react....maybe I should have said "Nani mite n da yo?" (what are you looking at?) but yeah that wouldn't have held over well....hehe. OOoo and while I was in shibuya about to get my picture taken some "ghetto" guys came up and were like "can we get in the picture?" heheh it was the most random and hilarious thing ever, they were throwing up signs and yelling westside....pure comedy.....

Crowded: Well I touched base on this already, trains, shops, train stations, everthing was crowded! I mean not all the time but sometimes during rush hour times it got ridiculous, good thing I am not clastraphobic....

Statues with Huge Genatalia: the scariest thing ever, statues of a racoon type animal with huge genatalia are emblazened in my head, I will defeinatly post that image once i get it developed!

Cow Tounge: When a group of friends and I went to a Yakiniku (fried meat resturant) the night before I left I tried cow tounge, wow, it was actually good! A little salty but Oishii!! (delicious)

Moneyless: Well during the new year, everyone gets some vacation after the new year roles in. And just my luck I ran out of the money I exchanged on the first....soooo all money exchange places were closed and until the 4th!!!! so yeah I was money less for 3 days....it sucked.....alot.....

Octopuss Tentacle: excuse me while I go and throw up....hehe...the infamous Takoyaki (fried octopuss) you always see at festivals and the like look yummy but in all actuality are disgusting...I can't eat them at all, the texture just does nothing for me....when I bit into it the fried part was mushy and then you get into meat...which is kinda rubbery because, hey, it's an octopuss tentacle.....barf!*

Now let's talk about some of the stuff I didn't know when I got there:

Well escalators have rules, you always have to stand on the left side and let people who are in a hurry walk up the right....well I guess that makes since in a huge cramped city, but i honestly didn't know that....

Recycling is a big deal ( I think I read this somewhere but I forgot when I got there) fast food resturants even have different trash cans for each type of trash.

English isn't easily understood.... when I got there I was very shy about my Japanese, i could order food and ask where a phone was, but I couldn't bring myself to use it(until later) but everyone who doesn't know Japan well seems to think that everyone can speak english....but I didn't trust it (which is why I learned some before I went.) Even if you look American, they will speak to you in japanese....they will not try to brush off their rusty english to talk to you, so try to learn a little japanese or have a japanese friend do everything for you...hehe, I did run into some english speaks though, but let's just say that it consisted of:

Hotel staff: "phone, over, stairs" (pointing)
Me: (O_O)!

Well this entry is getting rather long, I'll put some more up later once I get some pictures together!
» Jet lag....
So I got home on Monday from my very exciting trip to Japan. I'm up right now at 3:44 am because I'm still on Japanese time....I have to go to work soon too!!!! arrghhh... (working yesterday with Jet Lag was pure torture!) I'm not up for it now, but I'll try to get the details of my trip up online, pictures will follow once I get them developed! here are some highlights from my experience:

expensive, earthquake, suicide, production IG, ton's of shops, comiket, karaoke, grocery stores, walking till you can't walk anymore, stares, crowded, statues with huge genatalia, cow tounge, moneyless, octopuss tentacle....etc....hehe

Anyway, I'm soooo soooo far behind on art projects but I hope to get somethings up and running before the end of this week, I got some T-shirt design ideas for an upcoming convention that I hope to get penciling soon! Especially since the meeting is this weekend and I'll finally will be able to attend one! (yay for not working on a weekend!)

Well I need to force my self to go to bed so I don't suck at work like I did yesterday,

Oyasumi!
» Hehehe...
Ken Hirai's new single "POP STAR" is totally my theme song right now....

When I first heard the song, while watching the very strange pv, I was quite sickened...but then when I read up on Ken and found out that this song is actually more of a parody than his actual music style, I began to like it, the song is rather catchy also! if anyone doesn't know what I am talking about I am happy to edit this post with an mp3, and some PV screenshots, just request it!

I should totally make a fool of myself and karaoke this at my next convention...hehe...
» Yatta zo! Watashi wa Nihon ni Ikimasu!
^ (hehe, is that right?) (I wanted to say, "Yay!, I'm going to Japan!")

Can I just say OMG! JAPAN IS NEAR! I just bought my tickets today! Which now sets it in stone! I didn't think I would be going to Japan so soon! I'm so excited about it!! (drools all over Comiket....)

I still feel rather unconfidient about my Japanese, I would say I am about a mid-beginner, things still don't click, but whatever... I guess I have 2 and a half months to cram as much Japanese knowledge as I can. It sucks that it really takes years to perfect a language! I want it now darnit! hehe! (how else will I be able to see my dream of becoming a j-pop singer if I can't speak fluently...)

It also sucks that I don't have anyone to practice with, I tried to see if I could do an online language exchange, but they want you to be atleast intermediate, which means you can hold a conversation.... but there is this one site that allows you to get online personal lessons, though it is 20 dollars a session....that's kinda cheap but I could maybe only do it once a month...which is rather slow!

but anyway, this is a commission I finally got done, well halfway... this image has 2 sets, one with and one without a background:

» Whoa! I have art or something...
Well here is just a glimpse of a sketch that I am currently working on...it has been so long since I have started drawing for myself and also actually sitting down and just drawing! I'm getting rather excited about this "new look" I have been trying to do awhile back...mainly more detailed hair, eyes, and more detailed everything...hehe!

I think I am going to start doing more of these pin up type images, of cute or sexy girls, just because girls are fun to draw IMO! Maybe later I'll get into making more fantasy styled characters and things of that sort.
» American Idol...my thoughts
Well I guess I should tell everyone how the experience of American Idol tryouts are like... if you're at all interested...

Well day one was pretty exciting! A long, long line of people waiting to get into the stadium was the first thing we saw! but it wasn't that bad of a wait...actually it was quite shorter than the Anime Expo wait, mainly because we were just getting our bags checked at the door. The day went rather smoothly as well, we got through the line in about two hours meet some rather friendly people and got our seats for the event!

The next day was far from smooth! It was wet! it rained that morning while the day before was actually quite nice...maybe windy but hey, it wasn't rainy!!!!(I can't imagene some of the people who stayed in the stadium, I mean it was a completely open set up!) Well, we got to the stadium alot earlier than the day before, but for some reason the line had expanded...wrapping itself along the stadiums exterior!!! luckily the wait was short as they got smart and started letting people through multiple gates...(because we were ultimatly about an hour behind schedule before we got into the building and there were alot more people behind us!) One thing that pissed me off was that we went inside of the building as they prepaired to do the infamous crowd scene!!! I was like, no! I don't get to see them film it, or get to see Ryan....arggg...but whatever! Inside the stadium you see alot more people inside than you did outside! O_O! maybe 10,000 people showed up...it could have been more! We walked around getting excited and listening to others sing...and to our surprise (My sister and I) we realized that the show was all wrong! Far more people are good than bad!!!!I didn't hear one bad singer as I was there...they were good to better!!! This humbled me abit...but not enough to make me feel like i wouldn't make it...I mean I saw the show and alot of people were as good as I was...atleast that is what I thought!

We sat in our seats, grabbed food, and listened to singers (we actually huddled up near a bathroom because it was the warmest place in the stadium. some actually just stood in bathrooms practicing and or talking....and since there were so many people their...the girls restroom actually had a line forming for it...the men's bathroom was rather empty...but it was funny to see girls actually wondering into the forbidden realm and actually using the men's bathroom!!!) Well, we sat in our seats for quite awhile maybe even 6 hours before it was our turn to audition!!! But we got to talk and bond with our row of singers! We listened to the announcer tell us how this audition would go, basically we were in the first round of auditioning and if we made it past these judges, then we would go to the second round....which was executive producers( not even the core Randy, Paula and Simon...) We also learned that those three wouldn't even be there until the following week and if we "really wanted it" we would waste your time and money to go again for the "real" audition....pooo!

So after the 6 hours came to a close and we didn't even film the tv show bits they said they would do inside the staduim, our row was called for auditioning I wasn't getting nervous all day but you know how it gets when it's your turn to do something...and I had never auditioned before! So our row all lined up single file and headed for the audition area. (it was a row of 15 tables with 2 judges at each.) We go down a flight of stairs, get each individual picture taken and line up 4 at a time to each seperate table! My group of four audition, my sister is first, she starts off strong but ends up flubbing her song in the middle..(I almost cried I felt sorry for her) they stop her and procced to me... I notice the judge on the right seems very much like she would like to listen to the singers but the one on the left, was putting on a show, looking around, fiddling with his buzzer thing...maybe even a decoy to flubb up would be singers...you know a psychological test of some sort... but once I start belting out my song butterflies fill my stomach....Nothing to hinder my preformance though... I get through the song giving each judge eye contact...but never really moving or getting too into the song...I even see out of the corner of my eye, my sister nodding her head rooting me on during my song. after it's over I feel rather good about it and proceed to listen to the last two in our group.... they send us all to the front of the table and without even talking it over, the judge on the right kindly tells us that we had strong auditions, but it was nothing they could use for the show... I was devistated....maybe they didn't see it in my expression but inside I really felt like I could make it... oh well...but then reality sinks in... I came all this way and i just spent upwards of 200 dollars and didn't get anywhere with my audition!!!! that stinks! and you finally realize that AI is basically a lottery... when we saw people getting golden tickets for the next round they were all mainly from the first two rows....then after the judges left and came back, alot of people were getting sent home... ( I bet they said we need to hurry along with this or we will never get out of here, start sending more home, only pick people who totally suck or look like they may have a good tv story....I think about it and notice that alot of "characters" on american idol have rather out there lives or some sort of qwark about them...maybe I wouldn't make good tv....) My whole row was sent home, and everyone I heard sing in it were decent and some were awesome!!! I just don't know what I would have needed to do to get past the first round judges...should I have been awful and then actually sing awesome for the producers? I dont' know if that would have worked but I did see someone dressed as "I dream of Jeanie" get through to the next round.... sigh...

It was fun at first but money outweighed the good, I honestly wish I didn't go.... but I guess I can say I tried out for the show!
» American Idol
So American Idol tryouts in Chicago are friday, and tonight I am booking it there to get the wrist bands to audition! !!! Hopefully this works out and maybe if I am lucky enough I can go to Hollywood! That would be so cool!...I'm really spazzing about it because it could be a big deal!!!!! So I decided that I would put up some clips for you guys to listen to of me singing....heheh I don't have the best recording machinery and I do know I need to get better at singing but I think I am atleast decent...
so check it out: Nobody Knows!

Oh, and It has always been a dream of mine to become a Japanese singer (well be a singer in japan, I don't technically think I can become japanese...hehe.) So I made this funny version of me singing Morning Musume's Iroppoi Jirettai... it cracks me up evertime...and yes I wasn't serious when I did this song...: Iroppoi Jirettai!

Oh and another awesome song is Yuna Ito's Endless Story! I wanted to make my funny clip be that song but I couldn't make it funny enough...oh well! Can't wait to Karaoke in Japan!!!!

Ja Mata, and I will try not to neglect this journal!
» チーズの中にリフリジーター
Hello everyone! I finally am back and have been catching up on all of the journals I have missed! I bet you are wondering what I wrote...if you can't read Japanese or only see squares but this is what it said:
"Refrigerator in Cheese"
Hehe, you probably won't get that unless you have been watching Hello Morning as religiously as I have... I just thought it was funny and thought I would try out this new japanese word processor I downloaded. Yeah! I can finally type in Japanese without having to pay!

Learning a new language is fun! and trying to pick out as much of what you know from an hour long variety show is rather hard... but it shows your improvment. I just hope I learn as much as I can before I go to Japan this winter because as of right now I can't hold conversations, but only ask questions and read words that I don't know the meaning...hehe, that's what happens when you learn Hiragana without knowing the language completely.(helps with pronunciation though)

I have recently bought about 5 books on Japanese, Grammer, Writing and just plain vocabulary...(some methods have helped me a little but I'm happy with how most of them have taught me a good deal within a short period of time.) I also have been recently downloading this hilarious, old, but helpful video series to help my type of learning style( I need visuals, and sound along with repetative examples). If you're interested you can Bitorrent it here: Japanese Videos just type japanese and download the Let's Learn Japanese basic torrents. They are rather old, from the late 80's, but they have helped me ground the things I have learned from books in a nice repetative form, with several small skits using the vocab in different ways. It even has downloadable textbooks! I recommend it!

Another read is the teach yourself book "Beginner's Japanese" this was the first book i read and it comes with CD's. The thing about this book is they break down each scentence in their exercies which really helps me alot! I really need explainations and they deliver! Plus tests at the end of each chapter! Which is always a bonus way of seeing your progress!

Also something I recommend is the Kanji de Manga series! It teaches you Kanji though Illustrations and situations which is rather nice and prepares you for the japanese literacy exam. I am slowly reading this book as I learn Japanese, so I don't overwhelm myself with material, but i have learned Kanji though flipping through the book! Like 見て(mi)te, 中(Naka), and numbers, some Kanji I can recognise not from this book but just from seeing it often...I can't write them from memory though, like: 夢 (yume) and 愛(ai) which I can't wait to write one day because they are rather pretty kanji. the thing about this book is you must know Katakana and Hirigana to get the full affect because the scentences are written that way, though with translations, there isn't romaji in the book at all! (I'm still rather week at Katakana...I must study more!!!)

Woooo! that was fun! I hope to have more art up sometime and maybe some IICY? pages soon! I haven't posted any of my new style of drawing which I am rather excited about!

Oh, and Morning Musume's - Iroppoi Jirettai is a rather fun song!

» work...
uuuughghghg work has been zapping my creative juices....comics....artwork....commissions... all have not been getting done because as soon as I unwind after work it's time to go to bed... I think this weekend will be a good time to finish things though, here's to getting Topaz's, Ikasucon's and IICY's artwork done!!! Yay!!

Well here is a small image that took way to long to do for how small it is... basically off and on, during the nights, after work....

» Watch out!!!
Yaoi...rather shonen ai under the cut... )

WIP: Here is something I have been working on for awhile now! (and it has been awhile since I posted a wip) I just am getting close to finishing it! I bet I have mentioned before that I like photoshoping clouds! Yes I do!!!

I just realised that my tablet wasn't functioning correctly... and now that it is, things are much simpler and faster to do! gosh... I was basically using my tablet as a mouse for almost a year!!!!!
» CONventions!!!
So preperations for some of my bigger cons are actually going better than I thought! All I need to do is register with Anime Expo and everything is all set for that... Otakon's ticket and hotel accomodations are booked...now I just have to wait for the artist alley info to go up!... It's going to be scary booking for the three cons in June though... just because I need to do it soon and I most likely will have to pay them all at once...scary!!! AX and Otakon are the most important though and Meg (lilly-chan) wants to do a PGSM panel at Otakon... I don't know if it will be greenlighted but it would be fun to do and my other friends want to try to do the webcomic panel for them.... but since Otakon is so big I bet they could get more important webcomics than our posse... -__-... Oh, and it's fun to watch the amount of tickets available go down a thousand each day!hehe

Anime punch went well! I made more than I did at Tekkoshocon but I did only go for 2 days... and APunch didn't have an artist alley so everyone was buying up a storm! I now have some money saved up for my Japan trip... though I am getting scared because I will have to buy a passport and have enough money to spend in Japan...uuuurrgggg! Let's hope I make it!!!!

...on the home front I suck at getting my rent in on time... everytime I try to do it something goes wrong. Last month I tried giving a check to the rental office that my father had given me...He post marked it for the 15th and my rent is actually due the 12th... I give the check to the office thinking that they wouldn't put it through until the 15th but they put it through early and it bounces...arrrrghghgh! ( I didn't even know until about 2 weeks later..)I suck at timing...now I have 2 more days to give them money or I must vacate...I bet by now they think I am playing games with them just because they always give me the 3 day limit vacate notice and I seem to turn it in by the last day... but that isn't the case... I try to get the money from my dad and since we are both busy most of the time we miss each other, so I finally got a hold of him and I will have the money for them tomorrow...sheesh... one day before the deadline.... this has happened atleast 3 times... I keep trying to figure out new ways to get the money to them on time but with no avail.... (I wish they would give more of a notice though just because what if I can't get the money in 3 days??!?!?)

enough ranting...

If anyone wants to see the Yaoi button I made for anime punch then I guess you will have to ask me for the image and I will post it here! I have 3 buttons of that design left so if anyone wants them I am shipping them world wide for $3 each... I also have tones of 8X10 prints left if anyone wants to purchase them!!! (must get rid of stock)
